Hello, I am in the middle of reading the Glass Swallow and I just wanted to say how much I love it! The world you have created is such a unique and imaginative one - usually in most books I read there is inspiration from other books or recognisable events, but in Glass Swallow everything is new and exciting to me! I can't wait to read Dragonfly (I didn't realise the books were linked)! Thank you for your wonderful books and thank you for coming to my school a few years ago to talk about the Cat Royal books - it was great! Eliza

Thanks Eliza! J

I'm gonna die if I don't hear more about them!! Do you think that you would right another book about them or is it completely excluded?

Probably this time next year. Julia.

I was just wondering, how old is Peri in the beginning? Thanx! Also, I think all ur books are amazing, but have been waiting for the next Cat Royal for over a year!!!!!!!!!!!

I know - the wait is annoying but the novella is almost here. I imagine him to be about 18. Julia

Wow! I can't believe how good The Glass Swallow is, the description makes it seem so real. I also love the way all the chapters are shards, as if they're part of a stain glass. I was just wondering who you favourite is and whether any of them are based on real people? Thanks for writing such amazing stories, Nina

I've a soft spot for Mikel but I don't 'base' characters on people usually - they are themselves. Julia
