I came across Darcie Lock by chance and have now read a couple of other books. Thanks a lot. They are wonderful stories. As a not so young man bored with pretentious adult books I find these tales (of Darcie, Cat and Sirens so far) really engaging. Only Helen Humphreys and Magnus Mills appeal to me as much. Maybe there is a twelve your old girl inside my soul calling me! I look forward to reading many more of your titles.
Thanks. I write for my boys (2 sons and a husband) as well as my daughter so I'm glad the appeal has transferred to you! J

Hi Ms. Golding! I just wanted to say that I'm a big fan and an aspiring writer. I love the Cat Royal series, but since I live in America, I have to wait for all of your books to be published here. It's very frustrating. I'm particularly anxious to read Silver Sea, or, as it is called England,Wolf Cry. It looks so wonderful, and I'm a sucker for a good romance. I just hope that Freydis is as tough as Cat, because I also love a heroine who is empowering to women.(I'm a feminist)Power to the sisters! By the way, I'm curious, because my name is Jenny, but I have noticed the name in every book. Jenny the chambermaid, The Jenny Wren, Jenny the slave girl, just minor parts, but still... Do you like that name? Or know someone named Jenny? xo jenny
How funny - I didn't know. I have an aunt called Jenny who I like very much so maybe that is what is going on... Julia

Dear Julia, Are you thinking of writing any books in the period of Ancient Rome or Greece. I think that it would be a very good setting for one of your books because i think that your style of writing would fit very well into the society and feelings of the time. Thanks Jess
I haven't as yet. Have you tried Caroline Lawrence's books? Or The Great Horse (forget the writer - my kids love that one). Julia

Hi Julia. I love all your books i think they're really fantastic. I have a question: How do you think of a theme for your books? - e.g Mythical creatures and the streets of London. I'm considering being a writer myself, but i just don't know what to write it about. Thank you very much Julia.
Hi I did have mythical creatures in London as the Society headquarters is there! Julia

Hi Julia, I love your Cat Royal books, and I really wanted to get the audio book version of the "Diamond of Drury Lane" but when I heard it Cat didn't have the voce of what I thought she would have sounded like. Would you have another version of it by any chance ? I know you probably don't. Sorry Im so picky!! Thank you for being such a wonderful writer!!! Nel : )
That's the only one. I know what you mean - Cat has a definite 'voice' in my head and I'm unlikely to find it anywhere else. I really like the Ringmaster reader - have you sampled that one? julia

Hi Julia! I am currently written 4 books (all of which I am somewhere on chapter 14) and I cant settle down to finish one. I keep skipping one to the another and back again. Do you have any advice on what I should do to stay focused? P.S. I LOVE Companions Quartet! You should so have a character with a Griffin companion!
Tell it to someone - then you'd have to finish and focus. J

Dear Julia Golding, I have two questions about your Limerick Competition. 1)Where do we post the limericks? Do we just post them on the Limerick Competition page? 2)Are people living in the US allowed to enter any limericks? Thanks! Alexandra P.S. You are one of my favorite authors. I have read all the Cat and Companions books and adore them!
Yes and Yes. J
