Hi Julia! I just finished reading Secret of the Sirens and then logged onto your companionsclub website. In the book it stood that you could get a badge, is it too late for that??
Fraid so. The book came out in 2006 but I suppose the books still have that page in them as they were printed a few years back. Many apologies. I have some stickers if you want to send me a stamped addressed envelope via my publishers. What creature did the site link you to?

Hi Julia, I was just wondering, will there be another Darcie Lock book? And if so roughly when will it come out? Thanks, Ellie
Hi Ellie Not at the moment as I would have to self-publish and I'm busy with contracted books at the moment. Sorry about the wait : ( Have you tried my Joss Stirling books? They are teen thrillers too.

Hi, I know that you are having a hard time with publishing the 7th Cat Royal book... Maybe you could self-publish it online??? Or if you have written some already, just post it online to satisfy your readers??? I know these are probably suggestions that you've received a million times before... Hope you have more luck with the publishers, any ideas why they don't seem interested???? Love from Danielle xx
The old editor left and I haven't yet met the new team so I'm not sure - all I know is that they aren't interested at the moment. They still have the rights but I'll have a think about what I can do.

Hi Julia, A few questions: how do you self-publish books? Could you do that for another Cat book? If you do, I promise you'll get several buyers (me, my friends, and everyone on this site who seems to want another one) and a LOT of appreciation ;) thanks
Hi Alice, See my response to Jessie.

Hi I LOVE the cat royal books and have read them millions of times!!!xx I just wondered if you could publish them as ebooks your self as I know an author who has done this!!!xxx sorry if his was a stupid question but I couldn't see it in the FAQs!! Thanks for writing all your books your an amazing author!!!xxxxxxxxxx<3 I hope you will find a way to punish morexxxxxxxxxxx!
Thanks Jessie. For me it is a balance of my other writing projects and my time. My publisher seems to have gone off the boil on this series but still officially holds the rights to the last books. I have to sort all this out.

Hello! I was wondering how long the decision will take to carry on or finish the cat series because the Darcie problem seems to be solved. Sorry to bother you. Sky
Sorry, no. My relationship with that publisher is in the doldrums at the moment. More vibrant over at OUP with whom I am doing Young Knights trilogy and writing books as Joss Stirling.

Hi! i know that you are having a hard time with the cat books but do you think you could try to write another one? me and my friend LOVE the cat books and i really want to see what happens to cat, rabbie, syd and bridget. Please please write another one :)
Would love to but no publisher interest at the moment. I need that to make it worth my writing time (pesky bills to pay).

No change there. They seem to have lost interest : ( The original editor moved and the new one hasn't been in touch.

Hello Mrs. Golding I have a request for you. My niece is a very big fan of yours and as she is a candidate for confirmation in April this year I would very much like to surprise her with a personal greeting from her favorite author. Is it possible to buy one of your book and to get you to write in it? Her name is Amalie and I can transfer the amount to you. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Gitte Kjaer
Hi Gitte The best way to do this is to send me a bookplate or me to sign with a stamped addressed envelope. You can send it via my UK publisher (OUP is the easiest). That way we aren't sending heavy books from here to Denmark. Hope that's OK.

hi, I love your books and know, you are far to busy to bother, with someone like me. but if you could find the time, would you be willing to read the frist couple of page, of my book? just to see, if it is worth your time. I have self published it on barnesandnoble.com, but I have no idea, how to get it out there. I sent it to serveral publishers, they sent it back unopened. A New Eternity by Patrick Angelo (pen name)
hi Patrick Aw - you make me feel bad! Of course you matter. The only problem I have is if I say yes to one then the floodgates open. You'll find most authors are the same. When you tried sending it in to a publisher, did you follow their submission rules? In the UK there is a book called The Writer and Artists Year Book that tells you what is wanted. Have a look at the equivalent in the place you live (I'm guessing the US). Editors are the professionals in this area. I am happy however to answer questions about the craft of writing if you have an issue you are not sure about. Good luck with the writing!

Please visit St Judes C.E. Primary School (Herne Hill) some time from now to August as we really LOVE your books and it is our last school year and every body LOVES you (as in your their hero)specifically me and Imi. We are eager to meet you and we would love it if you could help us write a book. A book half as good as yours would be a miracle. Hope to see you soon, Angelina and Imogen. X-D
Hi Why not ask a teacher to invite me?

I'd love to write the last one but I've no publisher for it so would have to do it in the down time from other things.

Is Young Knights coming out in April for Canadian readers as well?
You should be able to get hold of the UK version as usual. Let me know if there's a problem.
