Hey, I love reading your books, especially Cat Royal and Darcie Lock. I was just wondering when exactly you were releasing the Cat Novella, as I am really looking foward to the next books. Love Heather. Xx

Next 7 days I hope. See below. J

Hey, Im a fan of the Cat Royal series and have been since 'The Diamond' first came out. But i've been waiting for the next book for ages! I heard that the book release has been held back due to a relaunch? Its fine for the new fans, but old readers will have to wait longer. And what about those of us who will be reaching the age where we can legally move out of our parents house? People might lose interest or forget? And the loss of readers for a new cover, when the old one was much more a approachable as the cover seemed to appeal to both genders ? Its seems ridiculous, but i understand being an author is hard, and you have to hit the market at the right time. But why change the cover and hold the release date back when so many people are waiting to add your book to their shelves?

Hey Piper, not my fault! See the FAQs. It is a decision made by my publisher - I finished the novel ages ago. To satisfy fans I have done a free on line novella which will be out in the next week or so (on my own time for no money I might add). I can't really see what more I can do as the other decisions are not in my power and it is more than a tad annoying to be blamed for them. Julia

Hello Miss Julia Golding. I love all your books but I seem to be running a bit behind. I'm hooked on three of your series, "Cat Royal", "Darcie Lock", and "Companions Quartet". I just finished "Den of Thieves" and am now reading "The Chimeras Curse". I've barely started though, I'm only on the second chapter. I started reading your books in 2008 but I was reading different books in between your books every once in a while. I'm reading three different series at one time! I also got my friend hooked on exactly the same series. Do you think you were lucky to become this popular? I think you were and I can't wait to see the next adventure you conjure up! Now that I think about it good authors are kind of like wizards! Hope you have a good vacation! -Katherine Bridge

Thanks, Katherine. I'm very lucky to have loyal readers! Julia

Thanks for giving up your time :) p.s. curiosity killed the cat... ...but satisfaction brang it back :)

Hi Julia, went through a craze of Reading your books a couple of years ago and I just picked up sirens absent mindedly last week and got myself obsessed again! I'm now re-reading them all (I've read them all many times but never get bored)-(hehe). I was just wondering what you mean when you say there will be companions to come... Will this book/books be about Connie and Col or someone else in the society? Thanks, I hope your having a nice holiday! Niamh :)

have you checked the faqs - these might answer your question. j

i heard you have read the first two books of percy jackson, they are really good, you should read the last three. do you have a favourite author? how many do you have and who are they?? i have quite a few...(you, Rick Riordan(author of percy jackson),tamora pierce and joanne rowling) p.s. have you read the hobbit?(by j.r.r tolkein) my teacher says its a story which inspires all fantasy writers so i was just wondering... so far, it seems a little boring to me...

i prefer lord of the rings to the hobbit. j

Hi. Miss Golding I was just wondering if your two last books of the Companions Quartet can be found anywhere in America because I've been looking for them but I can't find them. PS: your books are amazing :)

hi Yes they see (see US shop above on this site). j

Olivia wrote on 07 August 2010:

Hi Julia, i was wondering if you could write a few more books in the companions quartet? you could call them e.g.The Banshee's Battle, the end. i know it would make them not a quartet anymore so you could call them "The end" series or only if you just did one. Don't know about others but i feel that The Chimera's Curse ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so please please please write another one. Love Olivia x
