Hi Julia!!! Diamond of the Drury Lane is the first ever book I've read written by you!! I haven't finished reading it yet but am starting to and am a fish hooked on a fishing net!! So far so good. I'm at the part where the balloon appears in the show and all the audiences are amazed! I love all the characters that are in the book especially Pedro and Cat Royal. I got one very curious question for you. How do you think of all the characters' names and their personalities? Do you get ideas from someone you know like you relatives or friends?
Most of the ideas in Diamond came from historical research - including the names as I wanted them to work in the setting. I hope you enjoy the rest!

Hey Julia. I only started reading Cat Royal when I got my kindle in March but as soon as I got the book I was hooked!!! I bought The Middle Passage bacause it was a free book but when I'd finished reading it I bought nearly all the others!! I really enjoyed Cat among the Pigeons, especially when she went to Westminster School! What I also love about the books is that the first two and a half are based in Drury Lane/Covent Garden and they are my favorite parts of London. I live right around the corner to them!! If you ever have a movie made for any Cat Royal books then I garuntee that I'll be there on the first screening day!! Love from Haleemah xx
Thanks, Haleemah.

Hello Julia, it's me again, I've got another question. Why aren't the Cat Royal book published in German as well? I am German and read them in English. But I'm sure the books would become as popular as in the Uk. Love, juli
They've nto been taken up by publishers there - I do have lots of other books in German though, including historical ones as Eve Edwards. Have you seen those?

Hi Julia, yuor books are amazing! I made all my friends read them too and we all love them, we even brought them to book club so now almost everyone I know has heard of Cat Royal. I was just wondering what age were you when you wrote your first book?
I wrote all the time when I was at school but my first proper book was in my early thirties.

Hello I was wondering whether when you first wrote the diamond of Drury was you planning on turning it into a series or was you shocked at its popularity and then decided to write more. They are the best books i have ever read so i am thankful to you! When you was a child what books were you hooked into reading? Xx
It was a stand alone that sprouted. As a child I read everything I could but I particularly remember the Frances Hodgson Burnett A Little Princess and later Tolkien. Julia
