Ringmaster is great! I was in agony when the last page was turned and the blank of nothingness was staring up at me - I was book sick for weeks and it felt like betrayal to read something else.

Hi Julia! I love these books! Along with the Cat Royal series, they are the best in the whole wide WORLD! They are incredible! My best friend lent this book to me when it first came out and ever since I have been searching for Empty Quarter (I didn't realise it wasn't out yet) until I found this site. Are you going to be doing signings? Could you please do one near me? I near Brighton or Lewes would be FANTASTIC! Please write back. I just wanted to say the cover is really cool, because once you've read the book, it starts to make sense, like with the 'instrument of torture sewn with sequins' at the bottom. Do you help design the front cover? And do we see more of Kassim in later books? I really hope so! Lizzie. (Yes, I do get some say in what goes on there but this was really all the work of the artist who must have read the book very carefully as you noticed. Kassim? Wait and see. Julia)

I read this book through, like, 7 times and I still can't get enough of it! I just hope the next one is as good as this one . . . . I can't wait until MAY/JUNE! Also read Cat Royal. I think you are a brilliant writer- keep on writing!

I have to say that this book was thoroughly enjoyed and coveted by both my girls, 15 and 12! They actually would sneak into each others rooms in the night to whisk it away to a new hiding place. I am reading it now. Well done! Finally an exciting theme wrapped up in appropraite apparel. By the way, my daughter is running around in a kanga.
