Dear Julia, I have read both Ringmaster and Empty Quarter. They are so good i finished both in 1 day each. I can't wait till Deadlock will be out!!! Which characters return? Does Stingo return? Does Darcie see Kassim again??? Thanks Please answer!!!! Amrita xxx

Stingo yes. Kassim is less certain as I've not decided everything yet for Darcie's future. J

I absoloutly love the Darcie Lock books, I can't wait to read Deadlock! I like all the clever political statements made in the books, and Darcie is so amazing. I think Hugo Kraus might come back. The way he treats Darcie is horrible but he's a great character. I think Christopher Lock is a manipulative idiot for doing what he did to Darcie and never accepting responsibility for what he put her through. Is there any way at all Deadlock could be pulished sooner? I can't wait a year! Lila

Hey Julia Golding, Having just recently finished reading Empty Quarter, (without reading Ringmaster, I'm afraid), I decided to visit your homepage. Seeing as we share the same first name, I thought you could give me a few tips on attempting my first novel, involving SAS men and my heroine, Alexis. But I also have a few questions to ask about Darcie Lock: 1. How does Stingo get his name? 2. Is there going to be a romantic relationship with Stingo and Darcie? 3. Are you going to tell me to wait and read 'Deadlock' to find out? Thanks so much for your creative insight. I've also read the Car Royal books and Dragonfly. I'm also a massive fan of Dan Brown and Jules Verne.

Hi Julia Stingo's name is an on-going joke in the books so I can't spill the beans here. He's too old for Darcie - more of a big brother to her. Julia

I absolutley love Ringmaster and Empty Quarter! They are amazing! Although I wouldn't have read them if it wasn't for the schools book award. They are not books I would have usually picked up, but I signed up for the book award and ringmaster was among the books. I didn't think I'd enjoy it, but I was soooo wrong. I think there fantastic, and have read them miullions of times and they never get old! Ringmaster is my favorite of the 2, but empty quarter is still great!

Poppy Holloway wrote on 18 February 2010:
