The Chimera's Curse
The Chimera's Curse
The final installment in the Companions Quartet, "The Chimera's Curse".
‘How shall we kill the Universal?’ asked the serpent, its tongue flickering between its teeth. ‘Bite, burn or venom?’
Connie is the world’s last Universal – the only person who can communicate with all creatures; the only person who can keep peace between humans and the hidden mythical beings being destroyed by pollution.
But the shapeshifter Kullervo craves her power. He wants to wipe out humanity.
During a long, hot summer, as the sun beats down and the earth gets dryer, Kullervo prepares for war. The serpent-like chimera is just one part of his frightening army. As the inferno of Kullervo’s hatred crackles into life, Connie and her best friend Col must stop him. But how? And who will survive this fight to the death?

I really want to read the book but the local bokkshops in singapore does not have the series!!!!!! Please tell me where i can get it? (Hi Michelle, strangely enough a bookseller and fan from Singapore has been in touch with me on these pages but I'm not sure what store he was from, but it suggests that the books are available in some shops there. But if in doubt, you either have to get your local store to order it or buy online. Julia)

I absolutely loved the first three and can't wait to read the final book in the companions quartet it's so nice to see that the joy of imagining is still around in writing

Yay! It's finally out in Singapore! Haven't finished it yet but any fan of the Companions Quartet dosen't need to read to know that this book will be a blast! Thanks once more!

I love the companions quartet so much! It proves that there is still magic in the world, even if only in the shape of an excellent book! Cant the quartet become a quintet or even a never ending-tet? it just seems unfair to leave it at that! Ps. i took the quiz on the C.Q site, and i found it really fun. I was companion to dragons by the way, which rock!

***Spoiler alert*** I really loved this series!!! I was nagging my mum for ages on the 6th of september to get 'The Chimmara'a Curse' they are so good! I really liked the idea of all the mythical creatures, especially Skylark and Argand, though Argand wasn't in Chimmera's Curse much... To much in it i s'pose!!! i really hated knowing this was the last book i'd read of it... p.s Are you sure you couldn't make another one, i mean i think you left it on a bit of a cliff hanger, with a new universal, shapeshifting connie, and Kullervo's supporters still at large! (Hi Jamie, I've not stopped imagining what happens next, so who knows. Julia)

*****(Contains some spoilers so only read if you've read the book!!!!! Julia)**** Hello! I have read the full companions quartet and now intent to read the rest of your books! I love all four books and couldn't possibly pick a favourite! I love the fact that the baby is named George, and is another member for the universals! FINALLY Connie isn't alone.. guess she can no longer go with the universals 'unanimous' support.. Well.. She can until little George can speak!! Haha! Thank you a million times over and over for giving Connie and Col that spark, I could tell something was going to happen between them, and I loved the slight twist when Col had to get Connie away from Omar in case he ruined poor Col's chances! (Not that that could ever happen haha) So yeah.. loved the books and im half way through writing a fan-fic about them! And I got my own book partly written (and not at all planned, oops!) So.. yeah, keep up the brilliant writing and good luck for future books!

Hi (Again!) We just wanted to show our support for this series aswell as it is one of ours favourate! It's awsome! I hope Col And Connie get together! It would be well cewl! Would it be possible to be two types of companion (two-fours and elementtals parhaps)? If you could it would be amazing! Its way too bad it has to end :( Could you possibly write a guide to all the creatures or another series from a mythical creatures point of view or something? All The Best (again) Fans Of The Century! (HI there - I'll give it some thought. Julia)
