Miss Golding, I'm curious do you ever come to the U.S.? And if you did where would you go or where did you go, if you've already been here. (Hi Mary, I'm coming on holiday this summer - going from the west coast to the east. I've been before but only East coast - NY etc. Julia)

Dear Julia I came to Oxford this March to listen you speak about drangonfly and Empty Quarter. I was very inspired by your speaking and it was such a treat to meet you, and have my books signed. I cannot wait for the next Cat Royale book to come out, as they are one of my favourite book series. You are my favourite writer Izzie xxx

Hi Miss Golding, I love your books. I was wondering when Cat's Cradle comes out? I live in America, so I was wondering if there is any way I could get Cat O' Nine Tails and Black Heart of Jamaica with out having to wait for it to come out in America? xx Emma (Hi Emma, I don't know - maybe on line, or if a friend comes to the UK?? At the moment the publisher hasn't signed up for these so you might want to put in a good word for me with Roaring Brook! Julia)

Coral wrote on 12 April 2009:

I thought this might be interesting if it happened, (which is impossible) but how do you think Cat and Syd would get along with Ram and Tashi from Dragonfly? Would they be friends? Enemies? Uncomfortable around each other? Have nothing to say because they have nothing in common? (They live in different worlds and from different classes - would take a while for them to get to understand each other. J)

I absolutely love this series of books! When you read them you feel like you're there with Cat. I love the set period and have aquired a mild obsession with Georgian England now! I'm currently only up to "Cat O'Nine Tails" and dying to read "Black Heart of Jamaica". I also love the way you have many male principal characters that could be possible "love interests" for Cat. One question, how old do you imagine Cat when you write the books? By the way, do you have any advice for a budding author because I love writing? Thanks! (Hi Jane, tips on contact page. I imagine her in early teens. J)

Grace wrote on 05 April 2009:

Hi julia, these books are so amazing, it's like you were actually there when you wrote them, how did you find out so much about georgian england and in such detail? p.s I love them!!! can't wait to read the next one in the series! (The (slightly scary) answer is that I did a doctorate in the period and took five years studying it in great depth! J)

Dear Cat, I love your books. But im afraid I cant find two of your books. Den of Thieves and Black Heart of Jamica? If you could, could you tell me were i can find it (I've looked in my closest libary but never found it.) I have another question if you can answer, Is Ms. Golding making another book of your adventures i so hope she is? ~ (Hi Greta, You can get those books in the UK if that's where you are from. You may need to ask your library to order them in for you. Alternatively they are in paperback and can be bought from bookstores on line and on the high street. Next Cat - see contact page for details. Julia)

Do you know when "Cat's Cradle" is coming out in Canada?'Cause the Chapters in-store website states that the "Black Heart of Jamacia" has not yet been released. However I bought it from thier store and read it! ! !??? So I'm wondering if this Chapters/release dates biz affects "Cat's Cradle"? Thnx. (Confusing isn't it. Publishers have made this confusion - it is out next year. J)
