The Gorgon's Gaze
The Gorgon's Gaze
The dark eyes of the gorgon blazed at Connie, beating down upon her with awesome power. Connie felt a burning coldness scorching her skin, entering her flesh and freezing her to the spot. Now the gorgon would begin the slow process of killing her, turning her pounding heart to stone...
Mallins Wood is under threat, and with it the home of the last remaining gorgon - a mythical creature that can kill with a look. Only a handful of people know that she still exists. Col and his mother are among them, and both are determined to save her, and the forest.
While Col tries to rally support amongst the locals, his mum is hatching a more deadly plan. Egged on by the evil shapeshifter Kullervo, she is ready to sacrifice Col’s best friend, Connie, to protect the gorgon. But first she needs Col to lure Connie to the gorgon’s lair...

I'm in a total loss of words. The books are getting better and better! If the first book (Secret of the Sirens) was exciting and addictive, Gorgon's Gaze is twice the action! Its a totally new world of adventure and mythical creatures! Definitely a "Must Read" book.

Hi julia,I saw you at the BookFest in edinburgh and u were AWESOME!!!!! my friend dougie treid on barmy bartons bicorn hat and all the girls were buying Cat Royale, whereas I bought secret of the sirens and had it signed by you, I plan on buying the gorgons gaze, mines of the minotaur and the chimeras curse, You could maybe make a book of all the monsters like a factfile and you could also add new ones like the gryffon or the kirin.

Hi, in your book, the aunt said Connie wasn't even twelve. is that true? It's just that I like to know how old the main character is in a book. Hi Noor, in Sirens Connie is 11. Julia

When I first looked at your book(Secret of the Sirens), I thought about the Greek legends of Sirens, so I picked it up. However, when I read it I just couldn't put it down! I just loved the entire story! I can't wait for the rest of your future books(I've already read all of them 10 times!). It is a great read and I hope you will finish all the other books soon!

I actually bought this book at the same time as i did the first one and when i finished that i just went straight onto the second book and read it non stop. It is my kind of pleasure to feel welcome to these kind of books because it is nice to know some people actually like to save the wild life.
