I haven't read the second book because my friend is taking ages to read it. I have the two others, but I refuse to read them until I've read the second book, it will ruin the story! Anyway, I thought the first book was really well written. I stayed up until 1 am on a school night trying to read more! I just could not take my eyes away from the page! Connie was a lovely character. She reminds me of a few people I know. I live near Tintagel. Is the famous dent in the post box featured in any of the books? I think you chose the setting well. I've seen fireworks in Tintagel with my friend. They are spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd best be getting on the phone to my friend to see if she's finished the second book with she's taking yonks to read. Her last exuse was that the pages stuck together! WHAT is she like????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm loving this series! I've only read the first book because I don't have much access to bookstores or libraries, but I love it so far and I want to read the others! Not just because the main character has my name, but because it is one of the best books I have ever read! And that's saying something coming from the bookworm who never seems to be satisfied by what she reads. I gotta say though, it's really weird reading a book and seeing you're own name staring back at you on every page! I've never EVER seen my name anywhere besides where I wrote it. Especially when the person is around my age! All the Connie's besides myself I've ever met have been older than thirty. Even my aunt who I was named after would be in her upper forties by now! I'd say it was a great choice in names.

i can't even put down in words how much i LOVE your books!!!!!! Connie nad Cat are my heroines. Your books have inspired me, writing is my favorite school subject buti can never seen to finish the stories i start do you have any tips on that? How do you get all you ideas? I was ecstatic to discover that there will be nine Cat books! Whenever i got a new one the first thing i would do was check the back to make sure that there was another one coming. I have only so far read the first two Companions Quatrtet books but i LOVE them. Your books spin me into a world of delicious fantasy and i cry when each one ends. i know you probably get tired of people telling you this but i think that Connie and Col should hook up, and Frank and Catshould too. Your my all time favorite author! (Hi Isabel, I'm glad you love the books. You'll find the answers to most of your questions on the FAQ section of the Comment page. Do take a look. Julia)

I just wanted to say how much I loved your books. I seriously could not put either down! I haven't read the third or fourth yet, but the first two were awesome! I'm not going to beg you for more books, because I know how hard it is to concentrate on coming up with new ideas for a new book with people begging. I'm 12 (and in 7th grade), but I hope to be an author someday. Oh, by the way, are the last two books out in the U.S. yet? Because by the time I read the fourth book, I'll probably be begging for more too! (Hi Tobias, Minotaur is due out this Spring. Check the Marshall Cavendish website for full details. I'm planning to put up a page for my American readers which will have these details listed and links - but I haven't quite got to it yet! Julia)
