I love your books! i think that Cat and J-F should be together because they are the most alike and would probably have the most interesting adventures together. (not to mention that she could finaly be part of a street gang)

Finished this book the same day I bought it! This is my favorite volume of the Cat Royal series and now my all-time favorite character is J-F!~ Since Cat wasn't getting anywhere with Pedro [or Frank..?] J-F makes a good match until I read Cat O' Nine Tails which surprised me. I kept thinking Cat should have stayed with J-F <3

Hiya! I just started reading the Cat Royal series and I already finished the first two books in four days! Though my parents weren't all that happy about delaying my chores to sneak a chapter or two from the book...But right now I'm waiting to get the next books in our library (hoping that it is still there when I get there.) I can't wait to read them!!!!!

Hi, I love your books! Did any of these charecters (like J-F, or Sheriden) really exist? And I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Is J-F ever going to come back into the story? He sounds like such a sweet boy... for the most part.

Sheridan did exist and the others...well, you decide. J

i just want to say thanx for all the amazing books you've written. I love them ALL but this one especially. The way you describe things really makes it feel as if I were there myself, whether it be running away from crooks or being scared to death. I'm writing a few stories at the moment and it was you who gave me the inspiration for them. I'm really grateful and really couldn't imagine a world without your books. from your #1 fan. P.S who gave you the idea for cat? she seems like the most troublesome/cuious type.

A wonderful thing happens when you are making things up - characters just grow. She seemed the right sort of person to live in a theatre. Julia

Reading the first two has been a colorfull adventure, and I'm looking forward to more of Cat, Pedro, Frank and Drury Lane-magic! :D Your characters have more personality in their littlefingers than most perople have in their entire bodies, and I find this exciting and an inspiration! I can't wait to read all the books! I'm so thrilled, I can hardly sit still!! Your Danish fan Sofie

Thanks. Are you reading it in Danish? J

You can ask libraries to order books usually (they are in print) or you can get them online at the shop on this site (it goes through to amazon). Or bookshops of course. Julia

i am reading den of thieves its such a good book i am half way through! a couple of questions : 1.why is it called den of thieves?2.where did you get the idea from? its so exciting. (The quotation is from the bible and fits the Paris Cat visits. The idea came from reading Mark Thomas' history book which takes inverted look at the revolution - from the side of the people rather than the posh people. J)

Hi Ms. Golding, I just read this book, it is very good. I loved it!!!! I really liked the plot, Cat is in some pretty tough situations. I have a few questions though. 1.About how many years older then Cat is Frank? 2. I JF the same age as Cat? 3. Is it true that the people broke into Louis' palace after he ran off? 4. Was the woman that Cat and Frank met during their search for the Opera House, before they saw the Notre Dame by moonlight, Marie Antoinette? That's all I wanted to know. Great book!!! Can't wait to read Cat O' Nine Tails, it's out in the U.S right? Thanks!!! -Caleigh (1. see Diamond of Drury Lane for relative ages. 2. Yes 3. Yes. 4. Yes - also historically possible Glad you enjoyed it! Julia)

I just couldn't put it down! will miss Golding keep writing books about you? I just can't get enough! :D (Er hem - they are MY books! Dr Golding is merely my representative. And I will keep on writing as long as I have adventures to tell. Cat)
