Secret of the Sirens

Secret of the Sirens

Col felt a stab of fear in his stomach. The Sirens were now close enough for him to see their crimson mouths open in a scream, pale faces blazing with white-hot anger, their bird-claws tearing at the air..

Secret of the sirens book cover

When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

i've read the gorgons gaze (argand sounds really cute) and i'm reading the mines of the minotaur and after that I'm going to read the chimeras curse:they are all in my room, waiting to be read. But I couldnt find the secret of the sirens in my library or in Waterstones, do you know where i could get it? (You can get it on Amazon or one of the online stores or your local Waterstones can order it for you - it's in paperback. J)

Dear Julia (may i call u that), When i saw this book on the library shelf, i knew i had 2 read it! anything 2 do with fantasy i will read without a second thought (my mum hate's it - she says i should read more non-fiction. bah!) but this one was something special. i have wanted to be an author for ages, and i am working on a book at the moment (well not right now, of course), but i still have a way to go i think, since i'm only really on Chapter 4, and its books like yours that encourage me 2 try and b as good as authors like u! i have just finished book 2 and am desperate for the third! Thanx 4 writing such awesome books! Love Valencia ...okay, fine my name's Alana, but i like Valencia better! :)

I finished the book today and thought it was really really fun. I love mythical creature books and friendship. I thought it would be boring, but I kept flipping the pages.Anyway I'm gonna read the rest of the series!! Also how did Connie read Col's mind? Was it through Skylark's mind? That was when I got a lil confused. But I really liked the book!! (Which bit was that? J)
