Secret of the Sirens
Secret of the Sirens
Col felt a stab of fear in his stomach. The Sirens were now close enough for him to see their crimson mouths open in a scream, pale faces blazing with white-hot anger, their bird-claws tearing at the air..
.

When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

If they ever, ever make a movie out of any of your books, would you have the characters be English? I mean, for Cat Royal, obviously yes, but any others? (No, if someone can act they can probably do the accent. J)

Hey! My names Maea and I'm wondering what kinda authors you like Julia? Like it's funny to think what the people that write your fav. books like. So it would be awesome if you could reply! (I like lots of books. For fantasy I like Garth Nix (Sabriel etc) and Tamora Pierce. I enjoyed the Percy Jackson series and Artemis Fowl. And of course Cressida Cowell's viking series. Julia)

hello julia! I love all the 4 books of the companion quartet. The secret of the sirens,The gorgons gaze,The mines of the minotaur, and the last book The chimera's curse, were all fantastic. i really adore the characters you have created especially connie. And i wished you had continued with more books for the companions quartet rather than stopping with the fourth book. (I'm writing a new series, Shahani. J)

I love this series! Julia Golding has made my top 5 list of favorite authors, right next to Stephenie Meyer and Christopher Paolini. Keep on writing, Julia!!!!!

Dear Julia Golding, I started to read your books and I could not stop. please make more!! Well anyways when are Col and Connie going to kiss! Guess what, when I found the begging of the series, I found it in the weirdest way. We were about to leave the library and I was aloud to check out two more books. I had about 2 seconds. I did not Know what the Secret of the Sirens was. I just picked it up and checked it out. When I started reading them I could not stop!! They are my favorite books!

When I finished reading this book my first thought was "wow! She's a great writer!" and my second "where's the next one?" =] I love your writing. There is hardly a time in this book where something isn't going on! It's amazing. My family had to literally tear me away from the book if I was going 2 do anything. I LOVED it!!!! You rock Julia!

These books are awesome!! If I had to be a companion to one species, not a universal companion, I would say the Company of Winged Creatures, Companion to Sirens. I love to sing, and all Sirens probably aren't that bad, even if they did join Kullervo. We need another book! All of us who read The Companion's Quartet series need another book! What happens to Connie? Col? Mr. Coddrington? We need to know! Please write another book!

I read this book and I was amazed. It was wonderful. I'm a picky reader and this was one my teacher suggested. I fell in love with the series. You're a wonderful writer.
