Secret of the Sirens
Secret of the Sirens
Col felt a stab of fear in his stomach. The Sirens were now close enough for him to see their crimson mouths open in a scream, pale faces blazing with white-hot anger, their bird-claws tearing at the air..
.

When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

I really really enjoyed reading your books secret of the sirens, and gorgon's gaze. I couldn't put it down if my life depended on it. Even though it take me very very very long to read even a 100 page book ... i just got into it. You outdo yourself in the descriptions i was amazed. I can't wait to read the two last books and i know iw ill be one of the first inline to run to the shelf and jump right into them. But, what would make me so very happy is if you please found the time to write a 5 book just to tie every story up together ... it's your choice Miss or Mrs. Julia but i know i don't just speak for myslef on this idea. Please consider it i know you would please planty of readers. Thank you so much for your hard work. It keeps me occupied and off the compuer!! A very interrested reader...

I think all three of yor books so far are AMAZING! You really can draw readers into the book. I can never put the book down. I am really sad that there's only one more book to read before the end of the series. I think yo should do another one. Or even another series about another unerversal and Connie and their mates! Think about my idea please. Keep on writing!

so different to the cat royal books but just as exciting. If only some of these creatures exsisted, I'd love to see some of them (maybe not the gorgon, or the weather giant on a bad day). I'd love a pegusus. Connie has an exciting Life as well as scary, but she takes everything as it comes. Another captivating read. Thanks Ms Golding. from Hafsa

I think its really good. I think you should do a fifth book, with the compass on the front for the universal symbol It would tie it all up really well!

Really wonderful I was truly fond of it .I read both books in about 7 hours that is astounding because both would more often than not take only 5 but because they where so well written I spared more consideration to trivial detail rather than just the basic plot. Thank you very much a superior read is much refreshing since I get one so infrequently because of swift reading. Thank you again Sincerely Citrinena

Wow!!! I just finished it, its sitting beside me, I enjoyed it more than playing on the net. I've always loved Mythical Creatures and maintain a firm belief in the fact that they are out there, just hiding. I loved this story because of the way you portrayed the beings, and people. Some humans don't seem to care, and only want power, it's amazing how this is shown in some of the characters, and the way you made Connie tempted by Kullervo shows that she is only human. Awesome, Can't wait to read the rest. PS: if you have any tips on writing could you send them to me, I'm writing my own story, and I'd love any hints for writing. Thanx.

Dear Julia, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I certainly remember you. Don't worry I'm not some creepy stalker. I met you when you came to ottakars in the Isle of man. You were judging the short story competition and kindly agreed to come along to the book club meeting. Is it all coming back with a painful stab? Anyway, to jog your memory of me, I was the only one who asked for your autograph, but didn't have a the book because I had given it to my friend to read. I just wanted to thank you as I didn't have an opportunity at the time. I have always wanted to be writer, but recently my efforts have dwindled slightly. You have re-inspired me to write again. so thanks. Also, I have read all your books availabe. I love every one. I wouldn't normally read books like yours and was inially doubtful, when requested to read "the diamond of drury lane", but i am so glad i did as it has opened up a new world to me of incredible imagination and strong characters. I loved the sequil to it as it created meaner characters and twists and i could never put it down. My favourite is undoubtly secret of the sirens. In all your books you make the reader fell truly welcome and entice us with underlying meanings and moral victories. Thanks Julia best book I've read in ages. Well done!
