Secret of the Sirens
Secret of the Sirens
Col felt a stab of fear in his stomach. The Sirens were now close enough for him to see their crimson mouths open in a scream, pale faces blazing with white-hot anger, their bird-claws tearing at the air..
.

When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

Hello Julia This was the first book I read by you. I really liked Connie and I thought this book and the rest of the series should be made into a movie, I can picture everything Connie does and I have been thinking about you making it a film of it. I would be the first in line to audition for Connie or Jane since in Feburary I am 11. I remember you visted my school which is called saint Christina's and I wish I had brought my book for you to signn my books, exept Secret of the Sirens because my cousins gaved it to me already signed by you. Can't wait for the Chimera's Curse. From Daniella

Hello Ms. Julia, My name is Anissa. I'm eleven years old. Most eleven year old kids that I know hate reading books, but there is nothing that I love to do better than to pick up a big, long, and great book. The way you wrote this book (the plot and details) is amazing. I've just finished reading your first book and I was stunned because when I first picked up this book I did not think it would be about mythical creatures. It was an interesting book and I can't wait to read the rest of the books. Please keep writing interesting books. You are an AMAZING writer. So keep on keeping on. A knew fan of yours, Anissa Wiles

Hi, I am from Singapore and work in one of Singapore's biggest bookstores and am dealing with Children's books. Your book caught my attention and I gave it a chance. I never regretted my decisions and whenever customers require me to offer recommendations, your (along with some other authors but defintely not authors whom have always been prominently featured) Companions quartet has become one of my top choices. But because the rate of fulfilment by Oxford University Press is somewhat, disappointing, I have decided to try another alternative source, so as to bring to the attention of Singapore's children that there is more to the world than just Harry Potter. Yours, has become an alternative title to Percy Jackson for me to recommend to customers. Truly, I await the 4th book. I just finished the 3rd one within 2 days (a sure feat considering how slow a reader I am and how anxious I am about the series). Thank you Julia, I hope this message gets to you and allow you to be aware that there are readers even in Singapore who are aware of your titles. Cheers Ken
