Secret of the Sirens

Secret of the Sirens

Col felt a stab of fear in his stomach. The Sirens were now close enough for him to see their crimson mouths open in a scream, pale faces blazing with white-hot anger, their bird-claws tearing at the air..

Secret of the sirens book cover

When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

why did you kill Scark he meant so much to Connie by the way is Connie's full name Constance.

*Spoiler alert Think about what it means in the plot - makes it darker and shows the vicious side to Kullervo. Nature red in tooth and claw... J

Seriously? You don't think "James'" reply was rude? Just so you know, I love this book and it's my favorite CQ book. I love the scene with Connie and Gard discussing the universe and such in that cave...that scene alone was worth sharing with my mom and one of my many brothers! I could relate to Connie the most in this book, too. Of all your books, it is my second favorite (Dragonfly comes in first!) In my mind, Connie has lightish brown hair, that is sort of long. Basically, I gave her my hair. I don't know why I included that in this post. It was rather random. Okay, thanks for writing and having this website and having contests and for everything! Have an amazing day. Marie

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this series!!! I would love to read it over and over again. I don't know any other books that I could relate to that matches exactly on how I feel. It seems that I can just imagine myself taking the part of the main character, Connie Lionheart. If only this series could go on. That would be just FANTASTIC!

Hi Julia! I'm a HUGE FAN of your books. So far i read secret of the sirens, gorgon's gaze, the mines of the minotaur, the diamond of drury lane, and cat among the pigeons. I'm exhilarated to read the chimera's curse and the den of thieves. Heard they were AWESOME!! I especially love the companion's quartet because i just love the characters and i can relate to them A LOT. Connie and Col are just awesome!! Sometimes I sort of act just like her. Well, keep writing on paper and I will absolutely read it. Best wishes and keep on WRITING!!!!
