Cat o’Nine Tails

His Majesty's Ship Courageous this present day calls all able bodied volunteers who desire great honour by serving the Royal Navy. Loyalty, courage and gallantry will be met with the warmest encouragement from Commander of the King's ship, Captain Barton. Early applications for the voyage are welcomed as Courageous will sail with immediate despatch. God Save the King.
Presenting the fourth volume from our famous feisty heroine Cat Royal... In which Cat becomes an unlikely recruit for the British Navy, takes passage to America and navigates her way through a fiendish plot to do away with Lord Francis, heir to a dukedom. From the grand Assembly Rooms of Bath to the wilds of a new frontier, Cat finds she is for once quite out of her depth. All aboard, Cat's going abroad.

Hi Miss Golding, These books are amazing! I've read them all about four times! I thought I'd leave a comment on Cat O' Nine Tails though, because it's my favourite so far. I especially loveeee the Cat/Syd scenes - he's my favourite character! I was really disappointed that Cat's Cradle won't be ready until 2010!! I'm not sure I'll be able to wait a whole year!! ;) I thought the cover already looked really good on the Waterstones website and, after all, it's the book everyone's waiting for not the cover ;P Good luck writing the next few, I'm sure they'll be as ace as the others!

Miss Golding, I really enjoy your books very much. I have never read the same books over and over again! I have read them all countless amount of times! I really aspire to be like Cat Royal and I think you should be very proud to be the author of such fine written and creative books. This book was my favourite because I enjoy the 'damsel in distress' moments best! (but only the ones with Syd!) Lucy

Hey Miss Golding, I am another U.S. fan who wishes to read more of your works with Cat Royal. I have tried as you suggested to other fans to check Roaring Brook however I could not get the information I was seeking. Are your books going to come out in the U.S.? (They're definitely publishing the first four and I think the schedule is two a year spring/autumn. J)

Cat O'Nine Tails hasn't even become available in New Zealand yet as far as I know. Which annoys me as I am used to getting everything first (coming from the UK). I am dying to read Cat Royal 4 & 5, but to no avail. I need to know if & when it's available!!! (I found it on the New Zealand Fishpond site so it is available. Julia)

i hate waiting for books-why does it have to take so lond to wait for and so little time to read-completly unjust :( really wish cat would realise frank really likes her and make her mind up about her feelings! billy is a very intersting chrachter not as her suitor but his personality is intersting to read about because it changes in the stories.......... have you got all nine books planned out or are you just writing on the whim? do you know for definite the ending of the series? luv everything about ur books except for waiting for them to come out! xxxxxxxx (I live Cat's life with her - it's not planned out but follows what seems right each time. i'm not sure which person cat should end up with at the moment. she thinks of sid as a brother, and if she ever (i mean EVER) married Frank then i'm not sure petticoats and etiqueete is well suited for her, don't you think? Billy is similar to Cat and can be nice, but with the nearly-killing-her-and-her-friends past, it would NEVER work out. and J-F lives in Paris, and she already rejected him. but then again i haven't rea the fifth cat royal book yet,so i don't know by the way, your books are REALLY good. i imagine it like a play because that was how it all started, at the theatre royal. then again my imagination might just be running away with me.

Simply gorgeous (: As always, great fun and an excellent way of getting distracted from work. The Cat Royal books are a wonderful combo of adventure, historical stuff plus a bit of romance - all my favourite genres. I really like how Billy isn't just a stock villain - Dixon in comparison was boring. Loved the Syd/Cat scenes. More, please. I've noticed that whatever close female friends Cat has - Lizzie and Kanawha - leave her or she leaves them, so she's stuck with guys most of the time. Which sounds kind of sad. Yet I can't really imagine her sticking with other girls much either. A fairly sadistic suggestion: Cat meets a girl who is kind of like her - hot tempered and stuff, only more so - who appears to be displacing her from her friends. Is hoping very hard for the fifth book to appear in the library. ;) (No one can out-cat Cat! J)
