Cat o’Nine Tails

His Majesty's Ship Courageous this present day calls all able bodied volunteers who desire great honour by serving the Royal Navy. Loyalty, courage and gallantry will be met with the warmest encouragement from Commander of the King's ship, Captain Barton. Early applications for the voyage are welcomed as Courageous will sail with immediate despatch. God Save the King.
Presenting the fourth volume from our famous feisty heroine Cat Royal... In which Cat becomes an unlikely recruit for the British Navy, takes passage to America and navigates her way through a fiendish plot to do away with Lord Francis, heir to a dukedom. From the grand Assembly Rooms of Bath to the wilds of a new frontier, Cat finds she is for once quite out of her depth. All aboard, Cat's going abroad.

I've finally bought it! And read it! And...it was great. Awesomness. How does she manage it? It was good to see a bit of world outside London, but I hope we see her go back there before the end.

I loved this book. It was so sweet with Syd and Cat, I really want them to get together!!! They would make a brill couple. I thought the ending was really funny wbout what Cat said to Frank, Syd and Johnny about it putting her off havaing a child. Made me laugh. Keep on writing!!! Stephanie X

Just like the others I thought this book was absolutely amazing! I truly feel I know Cat and I feel like she is my friend. In every one of the tales you feel you are there..with her. Experiencing her experiences! You feel scared for Cat and every one around her. These books are incredibly unpredictable and keep you on your toes, wondering what will happen next. I almost cried when she left the Red Indians! Julia, you are a truly fabulous writer and I will love you (and Cat) forever!

Like all the other books in this series this book is truly GREAT! However, this story shows another side of Cat - how she feels about the idea of family. The story has an interesting combination of Red Indians and the Navy (!). Probably the most moving story in the series yet, it doesn't just contain adventure but exposes the brutality of the navy and press gang, and how we can easily misunderstand different nations of people - that we shouldn't be so naive as to believe rumours about other people. It's definitely a story to remember! I would recommend this book to ANYONE - boy or girl.

Hi when is Cat o'nine tails coming out because i would really love to read it, or is it out already :D ? I think your books are soooo good. Will there be any more books after it?? Thanks sooo much for writing these wonderful books. I just got to say that the Den of Thieves was my favourite, it made me think about who Cat was going to go for out of J.F, Johnny or Syd. I like the sound of Syd though. I would like them to get together. Stephanie xX (Hi Stephanie, I've seen Cat O'Nine Tails in some shops already - Waterstones for example - but it's not officially out until August. There will be 9 Cat books and my editor has just told me that so far the next one - Black Heart of Jamaica - is her favourite, so there is plenty for Cat fans to look forward to! Julia)
