When is Glass Swallow coming out in South Africa? and where can i get it? (You usually get the UK edition I think so same time as UK dates on FAQs. Your bookstore should be able to order it or is there an Amazon or online equivalent in South Africa? Julia)

HI Julia, i wrote to you on this message board not long ago asking for a sighed copy but i am in the UK. does it make a difference? thanks so much, milly X (I often sign copies when I go out and about to schools/festivals. I live in Oxford so the shops here also tend to have stocks. You could email either Waterstones or Blackwells in Oxford and ask them. Alternatively send book plates via my publishers. Julia)

I love this book soooo much and it inspired me to get my daddy to buy some of your other books, which are also amazing. Dragonfly is defintely one of my favourite books. What other books or authors would you suggest reading for people who adore your work? Also when do you suspect Glass Swallow will be out? I imagine it will be as amazing as Dragonfly. What imspired you to write this book and your other series/ stand alone books? thank you, Sian x (Hi Sian, the answer to your last question is on the FAQ page. If you like my fantasy, you might also like Sharon Hale's Goose Girl - I like it. Julia)

Well! This looks like another great book from the mastermind who brought us Cat Royal! I wonder if you know when this book is arriving in the United States? It looks like just the sort of book that would interest me, and one of my flaws is that I am a very picky reader. Your Fan, Dana (Hi, it's out this month I think. J)

Dear Julia I'm so excited to finally get a chance to read Dragonfly this fall. I live in the states and have been anticipating its avaibility here. I am just wondering, what writing materials do you most like to use? I personally perfer real ink and a quill or a typewriter so I find it interesting to see what other writers like to use to write, if they have any personal preferences. Well, thanks for reading my babbling, A (I'm a notebook then straight on to laptop person. julia)

Hi, Julia! Firstly, I'd like to say this book (and all your books, for that matter) is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Truly exceptional. Much better than stupid, overrated Twilight or Judy Blume. Second, I have a question about the Glass Swallow. Are Ram and Tashi's children going to appear? Hope this finds you well! -Sandra Bentson (Yes, but the focus is on new characters. j)

Kiranjot wrote on 11 August 2009:

OMG...before i started this book someone told me that it is THE BEST BOOK EVER...and i trusted that person and bought the book (yes i bought it before i even knew anything about it !!!)...but after i read it i regretted ever doubting my friends opinions THIS BOOK ROCKED...!!!!!its a drama with passion and some suspense with dabs of romance throughtout the book - keep rocking julia golding - cause u rock - does that make sense? LOL! oh and one question actually two is dragon fly a only book and what is your real name? (Hi Kiranjot, there is a partner book next year called The Glass Swallow - not so much as a sequel as a friend to Dragonfly, set in the same world with some of the same characters appearing. Real name - Julia Golding is kind of 'real' in that it is my name before marriage. Julia)
